The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Goro is looking to take a break and control but Davidson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Goro tries to move into full mount but can't pass Davidson's legs.
Goro is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Davidson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Goro gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Davidson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Goro lets go of the hold and Davidson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
