Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weed takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Weed pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Petrov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Petrov loads up on a big right hand but Weed slips the punch.
Weed tries for a takedown but Petrov circles away easily
and Petrov counters with a straight right hand.
Weed looks to land a right hand but Petrov moved out of range.
Weed throws a head kick that misses
and Petrov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Weed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
Weed misses with a hook to the body
and Petrov counters with a right hand to the body.
Weed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petrov circles away.
It seemed like Petrov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Petrov lands a nice looking body shot.
Petrov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Weed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Weed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Petrov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Weed scores with a crisp jab that stopped Petrov in his tracks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Petrov! But no joy.
Weed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Petrov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Weed. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Petrov darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Weed's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Petrov before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Sergei Petrov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
