Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Nobody (ranked 4552 p4p, 197 weight class) and Noah Jones (ranked 1371 p4p, 58 weight class). Jones has chosen Barrels of Whiskey as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nigel Nobody! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Noah Jones! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in for a double leg but Nobody sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice shot lands for Nobody. Nobody paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Noah Jones has been cut. Jones shoots for a takedown but Nobody saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nobody changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheers as Nobody lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though. Nobody closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nobody loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nobody working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Nobody working some strikes from top position. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nobody scoring with some ground and pound. Nobody trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nobody lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nobody wriggles free and stands up. Nobody bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards. We've been told by Nobody's head coaches at HELLCADEMY (Ground Training) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Nobody lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Nobody throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Jones has a takedown stuffed. Nigel Nobody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Jones. Nobody throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nobody is in Jones's guard. Nobody manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Nobody's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nobody scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Nobody throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jones controls Nobody momentarily but Nobody frees himself. Nobody makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Nobody scoring with some ground and pound. Nobody is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nobody working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are working up against the cage. Nobody manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Nobody breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nobody closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Nobody getting side control. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Nobody slips a nice elbow through Jones's hands, connecting with Jones's forehead. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Nobody tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it. Jones has hold of Nobody's hands but Nobody slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nobody lands strikes from half guard. Jones is looking to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nobody connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple. Nobody is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nigel Nobody dominated that round. The cut man is working on Noah Jones's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nobody lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.

Nobody lands with a nice combination. Jones backs away looking to recover. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nobody's waist but Nobody gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nobody getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Nobody swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Nigel Nobody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Jones. Nobody throws a good cross that connects.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nobody cracks Jones with a solid left hand. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nobody is one step ahead there. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones is breathing heavily. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nobody does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nobody wants to get back to his feet. Nobody has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nobody kicks Jones off and gets back to his feet. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Nobody shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nobody looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nobody lands strikes from half guard. Nobody looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nobody lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nobody looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jones wants to control but Nobody is keeping busy.
Nobody winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nobody is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jones is hurt! He's hurt bad - Nobody fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jones from any more punishment! Congratulations to Nobody! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nigel Nobody! Nigel Nobody was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
