Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cleon Salmon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Banner! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salmon shoots in looking for a takedown but Banner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salmon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Banner! But no joy. Banner throws a body punch but Salmon moves out of range. Banner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Salmon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Salmon fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cleon Salmon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Banner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salmon did well to prevent Banner getting side control. Banner throwing shots but Salmon is blocking nicely. Banner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salmon is looking to control Banner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salmon avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banner thows a huge punch but Salmon dodges it nicely.
Banner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Banner lands a nice short elbow. Salmon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banner on the ground. Banner is keen to just control but Salmon is a slippery customer.

Salmon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Banner working Salmon over with strikes here. Banner lands a big shot there that rocks Salmon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Salmon is rocked! Banner postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Salmon out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Banner goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
