Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luuk De Graeff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Santa! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santa has a takedown stuffed. De Graeff looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Santa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts De Graeff as he jumps to the side. Santa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. De Graeff attempts a counter takedown but Santa avoids it well and moves away. De Graeff throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Santa was covering up waiting for the punch and De Graeff finishes the takedown easily into guard. Santa working for a triangle but De Graeff defends it easily.
Santa wants to stand but De Graeff is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Graeff trying to control but Santa is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

De Graeff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Graeff doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Graeff manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santa looking for a guillotine here but De Graeff defends easily.
De Graeff is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santa working a defensive guard but De Graeff passes into half guard.
Santa wants to improve his position but De Graeff is controlling well.
De Graeff throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. De Graeff is working for a kimura but Santa is defending it quite comfortably.
De Graeff looking for a submission but Santa manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Santa is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but De Graeff frees his head nicely. Oh but Santa has switched to an armbar! De Graeff is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
