Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Whitfield (ranked 5582 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yash Pavle (ranked 5733 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Whitfield ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yash Pavle! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitfield closes the distance and clinches. Pavle jumps guard but Whitfield stands there with Pavle around his waist. Pavle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pavle gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pavle wants to pass the guard but Whitfield is defending well. Pavle seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Whitfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pavle on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Whitfield is looking to control Pavle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whitfield avoid being mounted? Whitfield is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pavle is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pavle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Whitfield is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pavle's half guard. Pavle is looking for a sweep. Whitfield is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pavle gets back to full guard.

Whitfield wants to control from the top but Pavle keeps moving. Pavle tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whitfield stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Pavle throws up his legs and catches Whitfield in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Whitfield tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Pavle! That came out of nowhere!
