Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quân Lê (ranked 1772 p4p, 84 weight class) and Carlos Beltran (ranked 2540 p4p, 124 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quân Lê!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Beltran!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lê scoring well with a low kick there.
Beltran looks to land a combination but Lê avoids it well.
Lê keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lê dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lê seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Beltran throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lê wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Beltran steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lê. That one must have hurt.
No joy there for Beltran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Beltran tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lê.
Lê throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Beltran stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Beltran shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Beltran wants to take a breather but Lê is having none of it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Beltran in particular looking to stall.
Beltran is nestled in close to Lê, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Beltran wants to stand up but Lê has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Beltran seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lê does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lê is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Beltran looking to sit in guard and control but Lê gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Beltran is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Beltran wants to sweep here but Lê controlling him for the moment.
Lê seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lê has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lê turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Despite the aggression on Beltran's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lê throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Lê stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lê. That's going to slow Beltran down.

Beltran throws a series of punches but Lê avoids them all with ease.
Quân Lê seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Beltran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lê circles away quickly and effectively.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lê.
Beltran lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Beltran's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lê connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beltran scrambles back to his feet.
Beltran tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lê swivels and escapes.
Beltran uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lê.
