Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gianni Castellana (ranked 6210 p4p, 486 weight class) and Magnus Thorgard (ranked 6196 p4p, 485 weight class). Thorgard has chosen Whatever as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorgard slips a straight right by Castellana.
Thorgard drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Castellana defends it well.
Thorgard checks a leg kick.
Thorgard keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castellana.
Castellana lands with a shot to the body.
A slow jab from Castellana misses its intended target.
Castellana throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Castellana gets tackled into the cage by Thorgard. Thorgard maintains the clinch.

Thorgard manages to break the clinch.
Thorgard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Castellana paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Castellana throws a lazy right hand but Thorgard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Castellana misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thorgard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Castellana connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thorgard scrambles back to his feet.
Thorgard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Castellana was well out of range. Poor timing from Thorgard.
Castellana misses with a body shot.
Thorgard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castellana steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thorgard.
Thorgard tries to close the distance and clinch but Castellana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thorgard misses with the combination.
As Thorgard backs away, Castellana returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Thorgard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Thorgard looks for a takedown but Castellana sprawls well.
Horrible takedown attempt by Thorgard or perhaps it was just good defense by Castellana, which made it look bad.
Gianni Castellana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thorgard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Castellana swivels and escapes.
Gianni Castellana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Thorgard.

Castellana fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thorgard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Thorgard gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Castellana gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
