Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manual Dormier (ranked 20636 p4p, 0 weight class) and Howland Reed (ranked 3261 p4p, 0 weight class). Dormier comes to the cage accompanied by Right Above It. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manual Dormier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Howland Reed! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dormier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dormier appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Reed tries to clinch but Dormier moves out of range. Dormier clinches with his opponent.
Reed throws a head punch that misses. Reed working aggressively here.
Dormier trying to stall but Reed improves his position.
Dormier wants a takedown but no success here.
Dormier misses with a body punch.
Dormier misses with a short punch on the inside. Dormier working some nice short punches in the clinch. Reed stops a takedown attempt from Dormier.
Reed lands a left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reed taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Reed is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Still in the clinch, Dormier scores with a nice short uppercut. Reed misses with a hook from the clinch. Dormier wants to stall.
Dormier tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Reed avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dormier working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Reed lands with a right to the head. Reed fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Reed lands with a left to the head. Dormier scores with a shot to the side of Reed's head. A hook to the body from Reed.
Reed lands a nice uppercut. Nice body punch from Reed. Dormier working aggressively here.
Dormier looking to slow down the pace here. Dormier takes a shot to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed lands with a light punch inside. Dormier gets underhooks to prevent Reed's takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reed wants the takedown. Dormier is fighting it off but Reed persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dormier's guard against the cage. Dormier keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully. Reed content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Dormier tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reed stands and throws Dormier's legs to the side, diving into side control. Reed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Reed throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Reed trying to control the action but Dormier is working from the bottom. Reed postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Reed tries to score with some ground and pound. Dormier controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Dormier is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed lands a few punches from side control. Reed trying to control the action but Dormier is working from the bottom. Reed misses with the ground and pound. Dormier manages to work his way to half guard, despite Reed's best efforts. Reed perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dormier is trying to stand back up but Reed is controlling him
Reed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Reed sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dormier defending well though. Dormier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Reed. Reed thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dormier's head. Reed not landing any meaningful shots this time. Reed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dormier is in trouble now - Reed has advanced to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reed unloads with some shots from mount but Dormier bucks and avoids them well.
Reed lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dormier hang on? Dormier takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Dormier is rocked! Dormier is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Grind Time [ *Double Elite Coaches] that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Reed is landing with some decent strikes but Dormier is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Oh Dormier is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dormier can't escape the position.
Reed is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Dormier goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Reed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Howland Reed! The defeated Manual Dormier had this to say: 'I'm better than this, I'll be back bigger, badder, and better next time around.'.
