Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Valdez (ranked 25001 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaratras Blacker (ranked 5670 p4p, 199 weight class). Zaratras Blacker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demetrius Valdez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zaratras Blacker!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez wants to clinch.
Blacker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Valdez to the ground. Blacker is now in Valdez's guard.
Valdez is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Blacker presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Blacker manages to break the clinch.
Blacker tries a head kick but it misses.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Blacker.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Valdez sneaks back into half guard.
Valdez landing a few short strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blacker trying to control the pace.
Valdez manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Blacker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Valdez gets caught flat footed, as Blacker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Valdez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blacker is aware though and is defending well.
Valdez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blacker defends it easily.
Blacker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Valdez wants to sweep here but Blacker controlling him for the moment.
Blacker works over Valdez with some ground and pound from guard.
Valdez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Valdez looking for a guillotine here but Blacker defends easily.
Valdez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blacker manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Valdez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Blacker wants to sweep but no luck.
Valdez has gone for a leg lock! Blacker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Valdez's guard.
Valdez is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Blacker rolls with it to try and escape but Valdez cranks on the arm and Blacker is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
