Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chew Kok (ranked 1613 p4p, 203 weight class) and Max Handle (ranked 2719 p4p, 299 weight class). Kok's entrance music is Back from the grave-by GRAVE. A fine choice. Handle has chosen Right On as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Chew Kok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Handle! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handle misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Handle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kok throws a nice inside leg kick. Chew Kok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Handle clinches up with Kok and pushes him back against the cage. Kok pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kok throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kok swings for the body but Handle moves out of range.
Handle cracks the inside of Kok's front leg. Handle has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kok slips a straight right by Handle. Kok has been working on his boxing with his coaches at BIGISLAND BIGGUNS WARRIOR TRAINING in the buildup to the fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kok just misses with a punch to the body.
Kok ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Handle moves away. Handle throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kok. Handle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Handle takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Kok as Handle shoots in. Handle tries to clinch up. Kok throws a series of punches but Handle avoids them all with ease. Kok avoids a kick to the body.
Kok swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Handle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Handle closes the distance and clinches. Kok escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chew Kok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A big left from Handle misses. Kok was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kok throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kok is looking to wear down Handle with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Handle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kok. Handle tries to clinch up but Kok circles away and keeps his distance. Kok throws a head kick that misses. Kok lands a leg kick that knocks Handle off balance momentarily. Kok throws a body kick that misses and Handle counters with a leg kick. A slow jab from Kok misses its intended target. Kok gets caught flat footed, as Handle shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Handle is looking to work some ground and pound but Kok has wrist control. Kok is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kok avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Handle postures up in Kok's guard and throws a big left but Kok blocks it. Handle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Handle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Handle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Handle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Handle stopping the sweep attempt from Kok. Kok will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Handle not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kok tries to roll over but Handle keeps him under control. Handle is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Handle slips a nice elbow through Kok's hands, connecting with Kok's forehead. Handle not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Handle missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Handle thows a huge punch but Kok dodges it nicely.
Handle is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kok tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Handle has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Kok tries to reverse the position but Handle maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Max Handle will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kok lands the left hand. Kok throws a right and a left that both miss. Kok throws a lazy right hand but Handle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kok throws a front kick aimed at Handle's knee but Handle avoids it well. Handle has managed to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kok tries to break the clinch but Handle is controlling the position.

Handle swings wildly with an uppercut but Kok uses good head movement to avoid it. Kok wants to break free but Handle has control.

and Handle counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Handle shoots for a double leg takedown but Kok sprawls well. He's pushed Handle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Handle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kok. Handle avoids the head kick by Kok.
Handle throws a leg kick and Kok connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A solid leg kick lands there for Kok.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Handle forces Kok back against the cage and clinches. Handle crunches a lovely knee into Kok's ribcage. Handle lands an uppercut. Kok working hard to break the clinch. Kok is pressed up against the cage. Handle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kok down to the mat. Kok avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Chew Kok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Handle. Good standup being displayed there by Kok as he connects with a hook. Kok lands with a kick to the temple. Handle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kok tries a low kick but Handle avoids it. Handle connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kok tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Handle was well out of range. Poor timing from Kok. Kok throws a nice head kick!

Handle misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Handle is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kok is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kok sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chew Kok is winning the standup battle so far. Kok thows a leg kick but Handle checks it and Handle makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Kok swats away the attempt to clinch by Handle. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Max Handle. I've got Handle winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
