Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wildhauser (ranked 456 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Seimens (ranked 1359 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Seimens!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wildhauser avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wildhauser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Seimens swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It seemed like Seimens was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Seimens cracks Wildhauser with a good jab.
Seimens scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A jab lands there for Seimens.

Wildhauser moves into the clinch.
Wildhauser is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Seimens is defending well.
Seimens dodges an elbow strike from Wildhauser.
The referee is keeping an eye on Wildhauser - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Seimens has a couple of punches blocked by Wildhauser.
Seimens lands a shoulder strike.
A frustrated look appears on Seimens's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Seimens letting Wildhauser take a breather here.

Seimens escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Seimens scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wildhauser doesn't seem bothered though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Seimens keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've been hearing reports that Wildhauser has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Wildhauser tries to clinch up
and Seimens counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Wildhauser rushes Seimens and presses him up against the cage.
Wildhauser controlling the action here for a moment.
A head punch on the inside from Seimens fails to land.
Seimens blocks the elbow strike.
Seimens prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wildhauser just leaning against Seimens, taking a breather.

Wildhauser stalling.
Wildhauser taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Wildhauser is pushing Seimens up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A frustrated look appears on Seimens's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Wildhauser stalling.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Frank Wildhauser.
Wildhauser throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Seimens looks to score with a jab to the body but Wildhauser is just out of range.
Wildhauser throws a lazy uppercut
and Seimens counters with a straight right hand.
Seimens lands with an overhand left.


Wildhauser is rocked!

Oh Wildhauser is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wildhauser misses with a body shot.
Wildhauser closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wildhauser looks to land a left hand but Seimens moved out of range nicely.

Wildhauser scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Wildhauser wants to free his trapped foot but Seimens is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wildhauser trying to control from Seimens's half guard. Seimens has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Seimens looking for a guillotine here but Wildhauser defends easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Seimens is on top in guard.

Wildhauser controls Seimens momentarily but Seimens frees himself.
Wildhauser seems to have got his legs back now.
Wildhauser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seimens's guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.

Seimens looking for a guillotine here but Wildhauser defends easily.
Seimens tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Seimens can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wildhauser controls the pace.
Wildhauser sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Seimens's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seimens is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Wildhauser has latched onto it... Big trouble! Wildhauser pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Seimens is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Wildhauser!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Wildhauser!
After winning the bout, Frank Wildhauser thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
