Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hippo Potamus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Ingle! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ingle doesn't succeed with the takedown and Potamus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. No luck for Ingle with that takedown attempt. Ingle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Potamus. Good shot there by Potamus. Ingle misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ingle has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Potamus finds it's way round the side to connect with Ingle's head. Ingle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Potamus counters with a slapping leg kick. Hippo Potamus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Ingle. A slapping body kick lands there for Potamus. Hippo Potamus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potamus scores with a spinning back kick! Potamus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ingle if he has to take too many more of those.
Potamus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Ingle takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Good leg kick by Potamus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Potamus moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Potamus works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ingle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Potamus paws at him with a jab and circles away. A nice inside leg kick there by Potamus. That's going to slow Ingle down. That's two minutes gone in the round. Potamus lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A slapping leg kick lands for Potamus.
Ingle shoots for a double leg takedown but Potamus sprawls well. He's pushed Ingle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A slapping leg kick lands for Potamus.
Potamus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ingle. Potamus lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ingle's sensitive parts. Ingle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Potamus to score with a decent uppercut. Potamus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ingle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Potamus did well to prevent Ingle getting side control. Ingle prevents Potamus from improving his position. Nice strikes from Ingle there.

Potamus bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ingle's guard. Ingle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ingle keeping moving, preventing Potamus from controlling successfully. Ingle is looking to stand up but Potamus isn't so interested in that idea. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ingle can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potamus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Potamus is stalling in the full guard. Ingle keeping moving, preventing Potamus from controlling successfully. Ingle wants to get back to his feet but Potamus is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Potamus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ingle has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Potamus scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Potamus with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Potamus explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Crunch! Potamus slams his shin into Ingle's torso. Potamus scores with a jab to the jaw. Ingle closes the distance looking to clinch and Potamus counters with a lovely straight right hand! Potamus stuffs the takedown attempt from Ingle. Ingle gets slowly back to his feet. Potamus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ingle has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Potamus. Potamus lands a head kick!

Ingle looks to clinch and Potamus counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ingle's knee momentarily. Potamus lands a leg kick that knocks Ingle off balance momentarily. Good leg kick by Potamus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hippo Potamus is winning the standup battle so far. Sloppy strikes from Ingle. Those never looked like landing. Joseph Ingle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Potamus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Potamus lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ingle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Ingle misses with a double jab.

Potamus feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ingle's calf. Ingle wants to clinch up but Potamus keeps it at a distance. Ingle is breathing heavily. Potamus feints and then cracks Ingle's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ingle down. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Potamus - that will leave a mark!

Ingle walks forward, straight into a front kick from Potamus. Potamus throws a leg kick which misses Ingle's front leg but catches the back leg as Ingle tries to avoid it. Ingle looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Potamus lands with a slapping head kick.
Ingle is rocked! Potamus catches Ingle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ingle is still on wobbly legs! Can Potamus finish him? Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Potamus.
Nice uppercut lands for Potamus. That snapped Ingle's head back.

Potamus drops Ingle with a big knee straight up the middle! Ingle is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
It looks like Joseph Ingle has been cut. Potamus thuds his shin into the meat of Ingle's side. Potamus lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ingle falls backwards - clearly groggy! Potamus dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
