Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs shoots in and bounces Montoya off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Montoya wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jacobs manages to pass to side control.

Montoya tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobs swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jacobs decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jacobs shoots in and drives through. Montoya sprawls well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters circle momentarily. Montoya darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Montoya wants to clinch up but Jacobs keeps it at a distance.
Jacobs shoots for a double leg takedown but Montoya sprawls well. He's pushed Jacobs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
