Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tayla Leech! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne Chung! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leech misses the shot to the body. Leech connects with a body shot. Leech connects with a crisp jab. Chung closes the distance looking to clinch and Leech counters with a stiff right hand. Leech stalks Chung and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chung's face. Chung staggers backwards, shaken. Leech seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Chung wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leech fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tayla Leech seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leech uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chung has time to react. Chung bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Chung in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Chung working the ground and pound. An elbow from Chung crashes against the mat.
Chung lands a decent elbow from side control. Chung is putting a hurting on Leech here, landing some big shots from side control. Leech managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Chung.
Chung lands a nice forearm strike. Chung working the ground and pound from side control. Chung has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chung tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Leech is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chung connects with a decent elbow. Chung lands a nice forearm strike.

Leech is trying to control Chung's posture but Chung avoids it. Chung in side control lands a decent elbow. Chung works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Chung scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Leech to see if he's OK. Chung advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chung landing strikes from the mount and Leech is in trouble! Leech on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Leech tries to get out of the position. Chung lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Leech hang on? Chung landing strikes, looking to finish!
Leech is rocked! Chung cracks Leech with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh Leech is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A big strike lands for Chung! That's really hurt Leech and he's turned his back - Chung keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Chung jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
