Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Wildhauser (ranked 431 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Wid (ranked 924 p4p, 112 weight class). Wid is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: YNW Melly - Murder On My MInd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frank Wildhauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thomas Wid!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wid checks a leg kick.

Wid blocks a head kick by Wildhauser.
Wildhauser throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Frank Wildhauser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wildhauser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wid! But no joy.
Nice defenses there by Wildhauser.

Wildhauser throws a hook but Wid blocks it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wildhauser is on top in guard.

Wildhauser drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wid manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wildhauser has Wid in his guard.

Wid postures up in Wildhauser's guard and throws a big left but Wildhauser blocks it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wildhauser is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wildhauser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wid has his foot on Wildhauser's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wildhauser works his way back into a safe position though.

Wildhauser drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wid looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wid looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wid!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wid throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Wildhauser will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wildhauser shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wid sprawls well. Wid wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wildhauser gets slowly back to his feet.

Wid uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wildhauser.

Wid has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wildhauser is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Wildhauser drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wildhauser jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wid tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wid has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wid remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Thomas Wid has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wildhauser with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wildhauser wants to improve his position but Wid is controlling well.

Thomas Wid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wildhauser has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
