The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schaub fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deadly, pushing him back against the cage.
Deadly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Deadly counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Deadly has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Safe Space in the buildup to the fight.
Schaub slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Deadly throws a leg kick but Schaub sees it coming and moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deadly throws a hook but Schaub blocks it.

and Deadly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Deadly counters with a crisp right hand that drops Schaub! Deadly lets Schaub back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Bryan Schaub has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deadly drops his hands momentarily and Schaub takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Schaub avoids the body shot from Deadly.
Schaub swings away with a body shot that misses
and Deadly counters with a nice right hand that sends Schaub toppling to the canvas! Schaub scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Deadly finish him?!

and Deadly counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Schaub thinking.
Schaub swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Deadly keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Deadly lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Schaub at a distance.
Schaub misses with a hook
and Deadly counters with a crisp right hand that drops Schaub! Deadly lets Schaub back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Schaub looks winded!
Deadly feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Schaub sprawling to the canvas! Schaub rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Deadly finish him?!
Schaub is rocked!
Deadly lands with a right and another and another! Schaub is in big trouble! Deadly lands again and this time it's lights out for Schaub! A quality knockout there for Deadly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ron Deadly!
Ron Deadly was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
