Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dalton Frost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amos Solomon ! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solomon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Solomon . Frost tries a head kick but it misses.
Solomon shoots in and drives through. Frost sprawls well. Solomon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Solomon wants it to stay on the feet. Frost avoids a punch combination nicely.
Frost seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Frost shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Solomon pinned against the cage. Solomon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice body kick there by Solomon . Frost is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solomon shoots for a takedown but Frost saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dalton Frost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amos Solomon . Both fighters circling a little - Solomon finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Solomon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Solomon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Solomon working the head and body with strikes. Solomon tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Solomon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solomon connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Frost some visible discomfort.
It looks like Dalton Frost has been cut. Frost is being controlled here. Solomon lands a few punches from side control. Frost is not content to let Solomon control the position. Solomon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frost knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Solomon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Solomon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Dalton Frost's cut is getting worse. Nice strikes from Solomon there.
Dalton Frost's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Solomon scores with a big shot! Frost's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Frost! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
