Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinn has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music. Bobby Bobby has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Bobby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Quinn stalks Bobby and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bobby's face. Bobby staggers backwards, shaken.
Quinn is looking to clinch but Bobby is avoiding it.

Bobby scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bobby seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bobby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quinn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Quinn actively working from the bottom here.
Quinn is looking for a sweep. Bobby is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bobby trying to control the pace.
Quinn gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quinn has control of Bobby's left arm, preventing Bobby from doing any damage.
Quinn keeping moving, preventing Bobby from controlling successfully.

Bobby wants to pass the guard but Quinn is keeping the position.

Quinn kicks Bobby off and gets to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Bobby misses the target.
Quinn circles away from the clinch attempt.

Quinn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Quinn showed some decent athleticism there.
Quinn content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Quinn not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Quinn is thwarting Bobby's attempts to control the position.
Bobby makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bobby.

Bobby working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quinn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quinn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Quinn pushes down on Bobby's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Quinn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bobby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bobby is not content to let Quinn control the position.
Quinn prevents Bobby from improving his position.

Bobby is trying to maintain the position but Quinn is very close to passing his half guard.
Bobby is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Quinn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bobby is trying to stand back up but Quinn is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Quinn tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Bobby counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bobby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quinn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Quinn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bobby slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quinn is looking for a sweep. Bobby is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Quinn looks gassed!

Bobby is working for a kimura but Quinn is defending it quite comfortably.
Quinn is trying to control but can't.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bobby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Bobby will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Quinn misses with a takedown attempt

and Bobby counters with a single leg into guard. Quinn didn't expect that.

Bobby decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Quinn, up you get!
Peter Quinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bobby takes one to the side of the head.
Quinn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bobby counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Quinn's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quinn trying to keep a closed guard but Bobby is proving a slippery customer.
Bobby stands up over Quinn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Quinn pushes Bobby off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Quinn is breathing heavily.
Bobby misses with a low kick.

Bobby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bobby is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bobby gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Bobby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Quinn misses with a takedown attempt

and Bobby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quinn won't be happy with that.
Bobby Bobby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Quinn.
Bobby is staying tight to Quinn's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Quinn wants to control but Bobby postures up.

Bobby content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Bobby stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bobby tries to score with a low kick but Quinn moves his leg out of the way.

Bobby shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Bobby looking to secure an arm triangle but Quinn defends it well.
Quinn tries to hold on but Bobby postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quinn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bobby kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Quinn wants to control but Bobby is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bobby looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Quinn fails with the takedown

and Bobby counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Quinn uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Bobby is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Quinn has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bobby prevents Quinn from improving his position.
Bobby wants to pass the guard but Quinn is defending well.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bobby Bobby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Quinn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bobby with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Bobby's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bobby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
