Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Metcalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Cloverleaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metcalf comes into the arena with "Highway to the Danger Zone," by Kenny Loggins blaring out of the sound system. Ken Cloverleaf has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Metcalf's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ken Cloverleaf!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cloverleaf looks for a takedown but Metcalf sprawls well.
No joy there for Cloverleaf, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Metcalf tries to clinch but Cloverleaf moves out of range.
Cloverleaf fails to land the takedown.
Metcalf is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Ken Cloverleaf has been cut.

Metcalf gets caught flat footed, as Cloverleaf shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Cloverleaf drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Metcalf manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cloverleaf has Metcalf in his guard.

Metcalf avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Metcalf trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Cloverleaf has his foot on Metcalf's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Metcalf works his way back into a safe position though.

Still in half guard, Metcalf seems content to control.
Cloverleaf is looking for a sweep. Metcalf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Metcalf postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cloverleaf to stand up.
Cloverleaf will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mike Metcalf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Cloverleaf.
Metcalf digs a good hook to Cloverleaf's body.
Metcalf connects with a nice looking jab.
Metcalf works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Metcalf gets in close and instigates a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Metcalf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Metcalf pushes Cloverleaf back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Metcalf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Metcalf connects with a nice looking jab.
Metcalf closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cloverleaf! Metcalf dives in looking to finish! Cloverleaf is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
