Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Babbitt (ranked 1195 p4p, 150 weight class) and Alastair Dunn (ranked 1092 p4p, 137 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kim Babbitt ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alastair Dunn! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babbitt scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Dunn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dunn connects with a crisp jab. Dunn scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Dunn throws a jab when Babbitt was well out of range. Babbitt scores with a jab to the jaw. Dunn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Babbitt takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dunn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dunn creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Dunn is looking to take a break and control but Babbitt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dunn throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Dunn in side control, throwing shots but Babbitt defends. We've been hearing good reports from Babbitt 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Babbitt wants to control but Dunn postures up. Babbitt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dunn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Babbitt can't do much from the bottom here. Dunn thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Babbitt managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dunn.
Dunn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Babbitt keeps working. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. You can see the frustration on Babbitt 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Babbitt is not content to let Dunn control the position. Dunn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dunn is trying to work for a kimura but Babbitt is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Babbitt regains full guard. Nicely done. Babbitt is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Babbitt is staying active underneath Dunn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dunn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Babbitt wants to control but Dunn is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dunn wants to take a breather but Babbitt is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dunn in particular looking to stall.

Dunn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Babbitt in his tracks. Babbitt jabbing away but nothing is landing. Dunn lands a jab to the nose. Dunn throws a jab when Babbitt was well out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dunn tries to score with a low kick but Babbitt moves his leg out of the way. Babbitt seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Babbitt misses with an uppercut. Dunn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Babbitt 's guard. Dunn scoring with some ground and pound. Babbitt keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Babbitt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dunn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dunn trying to control but Babbitt is working from the bottom. Dunn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Babbitt works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Babbitt is pulling down on Dunn's head. It's preventing any offense from Dunn, at least for the moment. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dunn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Babbitt is trying to keep Dunn in close.

The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dunn is pushing down on Babbitt 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Babbitt is fighting to maintain full guard but Dunn has managed to sneak the leg through. Babbitt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Babbitt . Dunn prevents Babbitt from getting the reversal. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A nice elbow there by Dunn. Dunn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Babbitt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dunn controlling the pace for now. Dunn lands a big shot there that rocks Babbitt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dunn working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Dunn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Babbitt turns into him and now he's in Dunn's guard.
Dunn is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Babbitt has his hands clasped together but Dunn extends and breaks Babbitt 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dunn.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alastair Dunn! After winning the bout, Alastair Dunn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
