Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Nilsen (ranked 1919 p4p, 285 weight class) and Guido Gloom (ranked 1091 p4p, 172 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

and Gloom counters with a single leg into guard. Nilsen didn't expect that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Guido Gloom has been cut.

Gloom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nilsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Gloom.
Nilsen feinted with a counter takedown.
Nilsen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Gloom tries to counter it with a takedown but Nilsen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Gloom's coach down at Jed's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gloom's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Nilsen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gloom throws a good cross that connects.

and Nilsen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gloom's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gloom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nilsen wants to pass the guard but Gloom is keeping the position.
Nilsen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nilsen is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gloom has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nilsen is looking to defend but Gloom has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nilsen! Gloom pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nilsen taps out and this one is all over!
