Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamden Jackson (ranked 1202 p4p, 195 weight class) and Max Falco (ranked 3598 p4p, 456 weight class). Jackson's entrance music is Valparaiso. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kamden Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Falco! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Falco. Jackson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Falco wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Falco as he jumps to the side. Jackson misses the jab. Falco closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jackson quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson controlling the position well. Falco uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson. Jackson tries to hold on but Falco postures up. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Falco's attempts to control the action. Falco might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Falco sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Falco is looking to work his way around to Jackson's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Jackson is looking to improve his position but Falco isn't that keen on the idea. Jackson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Falco is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jackson shrugs it off. Falco tries to control but Jackson wriggling away. Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson won't allow Falco to pass to mount. Well, if Falco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jackson is looking for a triangle but Falco pushes his legs off easily.
Falco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Falco passes Jackson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Falco seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jackson is looking for a sweep. Falco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Falco is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Falco takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson trying to control but Falco postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Falco in particular looking to stall. Jackson is looking to improve his position.

Max Falco dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Falco scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Falco slips under a jab. Horrible takedown attempt by Falco or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson, which made it look bad. Falco jabs Jackson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Falco connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jackson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jackson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Falco's half guard. Falco is trying to get back to full guard. Falco on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Falco wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Falco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Falco has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jackson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Falco sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Falco is pressing down on Jackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Falco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Falco looking to control.
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Falco's head. Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Falco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jackson forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Falco keeping hold of Jackson's head, controlling as best he can. Falco actively working from the bottom here. Falco is defending against the submission attempts here by Jackson.

Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Falco tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Falco to the ground. Falco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Falco scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Falco ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamden Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Falco scores with a body shot.
Jackson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Falco fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Falco bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Falco has control of the leg. Falco is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Still in half guard, Falco seems content to control. Falco tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Falco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

And that's the end of the fight! Max Falco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Falco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
