Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sergeant (ranked 2583 p4p, 127 weight class) and Adriano Silva (ranked 1669 p4p, 77 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Sergeant, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sergeant darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sergeant manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Sergeant tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sergeant drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sergeant shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sergeant goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silva continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Sergeant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Silva lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sergeant has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sergeant and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sergeant dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Sergeant's head and hops out.
Silva misses with a body shot.
Silva looks to land a combination but Sergeant avoids it well.

Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sergeant.
Silva feints the counter takedown.
Sergeant feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Sergeant then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Sergeant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sergeant's calf.

Sergeant looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sergeant is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sergeant to get the leverage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Sergeant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sergeant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
