The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz closes the distance and clinches up with Escobar, looking for a takedown. Braz pushes Escobar against the cage but Escobar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Braz gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut.

Escobar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Braz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Escobar is fending him off so far but Braz persists. Nope, Escobar circles away and we're back to standing.
Braz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
