Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kent Gentry (ranked 24298 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Stevens (ranked 3692 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Stevens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kent Gentry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Stevens! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gentry is looking to clinch but Stevens is avoiding it.
Gentry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stevens avoids it really well and circles away. Stevens counters with a body kick. Gentry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stevens, pushing him back against the cage. Gentry throws a punch but it's blocked by Stevens. Stevens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stevens shoots in for a takedown but Gentry shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stevens swings for the body but Gentry moves out of range.
It looked like Gentry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Gentry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stevens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gentry darts in looking for a takedown but Stevens gets double underhooks and turns Gentry into the cage. Stevens shoots in but Gentry avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gentry wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens has closed the distance and engaged Gentry in a clinch.
Stevens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gentry tries for a takedown but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kent Gentry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gentry moves into range and clinches up with Stevens. Stevens wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gentry. Gentry gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stevens regains guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevens is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gentry being controlled here, momentarily. Gentry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stevens postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stevens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gentry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gentry has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Stevens is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gentry swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gentry has a couple of punches blocked by Stevens.
Gentry is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stevens can't fight it off and eventually Gentry manages to take the fight to the floor. Stevens looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gentry passes into side control.

Stevens takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Stevens wants to control but Gentry postures up. Gentry moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevens is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Gentry is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Stevens looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gentry landing strikes, looking to finish! Stevens tries to lock up and control but Gentry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kent Gentry dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Stevens tries a quick counter leg kick but Gentry is wise to it. Stevens drives through and clinches with Gentry against the cage.
Stevens is looking for a takedown. Gentry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gentry's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Gentry throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Stevens is standing up over Gentry. Gentry looks to escape but Stevens dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gentry has one foot on Stevens's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Stevens moves into the clinch. Gentry misses with a hook from the clinch. Gentry drags the fight down to the ground.
Stevens wants to stand and escape but instead Gentry has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Gentry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stevens can do to turn this around? Gentry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gentry sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gentry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gentry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Stevens is trying to control the position but Gentry postures up. Gentry stands up over Stevens, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gentry lands a couple of decent looking shots. Gentry scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gentry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gentry working some strikes from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens has momentary wrist control but Gentry slips an elbow through the middle. Stevens is breathing heavily. Gentry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gentry chips away with some ground and pound. Stevens controls Gentry momentarily but Gentry frees himself. Gentry stands up over Stevens, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Gentry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stevens wants to sweep but no luck. Gentry sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Stevens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gentry is fending him off so far but Stevens persists. Nope, Gentry circles away and we're back to standing. Gentry tries to counter with a takedown but Stevens is quick to defend against it. Stevens shoots in looking for a takedown but Gentry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stevens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kent Gentry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Stevens. Gentry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gentry lands in his opponent's guard. Stevens wants to get back to his feet but Gentry passes into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gentry looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kent Gentry dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Gentry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stevens moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gentry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gentry tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Stevens manages to circle out of the way. Gentry clinches up with Stevens and pushes him back against the cage. Stevens tries to pull guard but Gentry holds him up against the cage and eventually Stevens drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gentry lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stevens backwards. Stevens takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gentry misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Gentry fails to land. Stevens breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Gentry.
Stevens dives in and grabs Gentry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gentry pushes down on Stevens's head and hops out. As Stevens looks to move away, Gentry throws a big counter combo but Stevens just gets out of the way. Nick Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevens misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gentry scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Stevens tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Gentry has his arm under Stevens's chin here. Game over son! Gentry squeezes tightly and Stevens is forced to tap out!
