Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Kasza (ranked 1127 p4p, 119 weight class) and Barry Bludgeon (ranked 2812 p4p, 260 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barry Bludgeon! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bludgeon misses with a wild combination.
We've been told by Kasza's head coaches at Guts & Glory Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bludgeon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Kasza half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Kasza dives in for a single leg takedown but Bludgeon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. Barry Bludgeon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kasza avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kasza bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kasza feinted with a counter takedown. Some wild striking there from Bludgeon.
Bludgeon throws a combination that misses so Kasza counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kasza throws a big elbow that misses. Kasza lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kasza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kasza cracks Bludgeon with a solid left hand. Kasza wants to control from the top but Bludgeon keeps moving. Kasza lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kasza trying to control but Bludgeon is working from the bottom. Kasza slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kasza working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kasza is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kasza working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bludgeon's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kasza lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kasza trying to control but Bludgeon is working from the bottom. Kasza sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kasza throwing strikes from guard but Bludgeon blocks nicely. Kasza stands and throws Bludgeon's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ground and pound from Kasza seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kasza cracks Bludgeon with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kasza looks up at the clock and then as Bludgeon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kasza smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kasza landing strikes. Kasza connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bludgeon some visible discomfort.

Kasza is looking to take a break and control but Bludgeon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kasza is really struggling to control Bludgeon but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kasza working the head with strikes.
It looks like Barry Bludgeon has been cut. Kasza crunches a massive hammerfist down on Bludgeon - he's out! Kasza Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!
