Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blagoi Arlovski (ranked 5857 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricard Killa (ranked 5703 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blagoi Arlovski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricard Killa! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Killa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Arlovski is trying to keep Killa in close.
Killa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Killa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Killa working some strikes from top position. Arlovski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Killa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arlovski is breathing heavily. Killa controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killa lands a couple of decent looking shots. Killa lands a couple of elbows. Killa stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's one minute gone in the round. Killa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Arlovski did well to prevent Killa getting side control. Killa controlling the pace. Killa prevents Arlovski from improving his position. Killa lands with a punch from half guard. Killa controlling the action here. Let's hope that Killa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Arlovski is trying to get back to full guard. Killa content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Killa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arlovski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killa seems to be looking for submissions.
Killa keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Arlovski is trying to control but can't.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Killa gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Arlovski swings widly with a right hand
and Killa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Killa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Arlovski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Killa sitting and controlling from the half guard. Killa seems to be working for a kimura but Arlovski defends the submission attempt. Arlovski tries to roll over but Killa keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Arlovski is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arlovski wants to improve his position but Killa is controlling well.
Arlovski wants to get back to full guard but Killa has mounted him! Killa controlling the pace for now. Arlovski tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Killa is landing with some decent strikes but Arlovski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Killa controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricard Killa dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Arlovski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Arlovski misses the body punch and Killa counters by moving into the clinch. Killa lands a body punch in the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Killa. Arlovski misses with a short punch on the inside. Killa wants the takedown. Arlovski is fighting it off but Killa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Arlovski's guard against the cage. Killa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Arlovski can't keep his opponent in guard - Killa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Killa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Ricard Killa has got the better of the ground game so far. Killa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Killa winds up and cracks Arlovski with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Killa is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Killa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Killa winds up and cracks Arlovski with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Killa seems to be working for a kimura but Arlovski defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arlovski is looking to control Killa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Arlovski avoid being mounted? Arlovski wants to improve his position but Killa is controlling well.
Killa performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Killa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Arlovski scores with a jab to the body.

Killa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Killa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Arlovski scores with a body shot.
Arlovski tries to keep at a distance but Killa has taken the fight into the clinch. Killa breaks from the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Killa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arlovski defends it nicely. Arlovski appears to be looking for a big counter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricard Killa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Arlovski throws a looping overhand right but Killa ducks down to avoid it. Killa moves into the clinch successfully.
Arlovski tries to pull guard but Killa holds him up against the cage and eventually Arlovski drops back down to his feet.
Come on Killa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Killa has control of Arlovski's left arm, preventing Arlovski from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Killa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arlovski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killa can do anything to dispel that myth.

No, Arlovski has managed to get both his arms back between Killa's legs - danger averted. Arlovski tries to free his leg and advance position but Killa is retaining full guard. Arlovski trying to control the position from guard on top but Killa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arlovski is pushing down on Killa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killa is fighting to maintain full guard but Arlovski has managed to sneak the leg through. Killa wants to get back to full guard. Killa is in trouble now - Arlovski has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arlovski throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Killa has his hands clasped together but Arlovski breaks the hold and Killa is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Arlovski!
