Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karter Kinshaw (ranked 976 p4p, 122 weight class) and Black Rain (ranked 2053 p4p, 248 weight class). Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Black Rain! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rain fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kinshaw blocks a jab. Rain slips under a jab from Kinshaw. Kinshaw connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rain momentarily.
Rain just misses with a punch to the body.
Rain is looking to score with low kicks. Rain swings for the body but Kinshaw moves out of range.
Kinshaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rain throws a hook but Kinshaw blocks it. Rain misses with an uppercut. Kinshaw saw that one coming. Kinshaw lands with a right hand. Kinshaw lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kinshaw as he jumps to the side. Rain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kinshaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rain throws out a counter right but Kinshaw avoids it with no problem. Rain checks a low kick from Kinshaw. Rain moves away from the strike by Kinshaw. A head kick from Kinshaw lands but Rain takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rain checks the leg kick. Kinshaw throws a leg kick but Rain sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kinshaw moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kinshaw misses with an uppercut. Rain saw that one coming. Karter Kinshaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kinshaw fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rain. Rain connects with a nice looking jab.
Kinshaw takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rain throws a quick inside leg kick. Kinshaw on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rain. Rain obviously looking to wear him down.

Kinshaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rain clobbers Kinshaw with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. This has been an exciting period of action! Rain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kinshaw looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kinshaw is looking to get back to his feet here but Rain is keeping cool and he's managed to take Kinshaw's back. Rain punches the canvas rather than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kinshaw covering up well and avoiding damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinshaw wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes. Rain throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Kinshaw manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Kinshaw, under a barage of strikes from Rain.

Rain is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kinshaw doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kinshaw manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kinshaw manages to get himself to full guard.
Rain trying to control but Kinshaw is working from the bottom. Rain throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rain cracks Kinshaw with a solid left hand. Rain is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kinshaw is controlling Rain's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kinshaw trying to control the position.
Rain trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kinshaw manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Rain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kinshaw has passed into half guard!

A close round but Black Rain will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rain shoots and misses and Kinshaw counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kinshaw looks to throw the jab but Rain is out of range. Rain takes one to the chin there. Rain ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A slow jab from Rain misses its intended target. Rain throws a head kick but Kinshaw moves out of range.
Kinshaw throws a quick counter head kick but Rain was just out of range. Rain connects with a jab. A big left from Rain misses. Rain lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kinshaw throws a hook but Rain avoids it easily. Kinshaw slips a jab from Rain. Kinshaw ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rain chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kinshaw can pounce on him.
Rain goes for a double leg but Kinshaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kinshaw continues to drive forward. Rain swings for the body but Kinshaw moves out of range.

Kinshaw throws a body shot but no joy. Rain throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rain throws a leg kick but Kinshaw sees it coming and moves out of range. Kinshaw throws a sloppy head kick and Rain moves out of range easily. Kinshaw misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rain.
Rain throws a leg kick and Kinshaw counters with a nice body kick. Kinshaw throws a front kick aimed at Rain's knee but Rain avoids it well. Rain tries to bum rush Kinshaw with a series of wild strikes but Kinshaw uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kinshaw fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rain. Nice cross by Kinshaw.

Rain looks to throw the jab but Kinshaw is out of range. Kinshaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rain. Rain fails with a takedown attempt. Karter Kinshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Rain. Kinshaw with a hook. Rain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kinshaw manages to avoid it. A solid leg kick lands there for Kinshaw.

Rain darts in looking for a takedown but Kinshaw gets double underhooks and turns Rain into the cage. It looked like Kinshaw wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Nice straight punches there by Rain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rain. Rain throws a combination. Kinshaw tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kinshaw throws a hook to the side of Rain's head but Rain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kinshaw goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kinshaw ducks under a wild hook from Rain. Kinshaw throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rain. Rain tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Rain throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kinshaw looks to score with a jab to the body but Rain is just out of range. Rain staying out of range there. Kinshaw misses with a straight right. Kinshaw bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kinshaw blocks a head kick by Rain.

Kinshaw throws a leg kick and Kinshaw takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rain lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kinshaw has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kinshaw and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rain wants to land a leg kick but Kinshaw is out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kinshaw misses with an uppercut. An inside leg kick from Kinshaw misses. Danga de danga de dang - Rain scores with a four punch combination! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rain fails to land the takedown. Rain rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kinshaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kinshaw throws a hook but Rain blocks it. Kinshaw fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. A lazy left from Kinshaw finds it's target. Rain lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kinshaw stuns Rain with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kinshaw lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rain's corner calls for a 1-2. Rain obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rain shoots in and bounces Kinshaw off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kinshaw pulls Rain in close to his closed guard and prevents Rain from doing any damage or advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Karter Kinshaw will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Rain throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A big left from Kinshaw misses. Rain throws out a powerful jab. Good work by Kinshaw as he checks the leg kick. Kinshaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kinshaw throws a jab but it's blocked by Rain. Kinshaw throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rain just misses with a punch to the body.
Rain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kinshaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rain feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kinshaw's calf. Kinshaw throws a low kick, looking for Rain's leg but Rain calmly moves out of range. Rain's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kinshaw under the eye. Rain showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kinshaw.
Rain lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rain takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kinshaw. That's going to slow Rain down. A head kick misses from Kinshaw. An inside leg kick from Rain misses. Kinshaw throws a head kick that half lands.
Rain fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kinshaw checks it well. Kinshaw scores with the left hand. Rain knows he should have avoided that one. Rain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kinshaw as he jumps to the side. Rain shoots in looking for a takedown but Kinshaw manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rain moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Kinshaw. Rain does a little dance to reset his feet. Rain blocks a head kick by Kinshaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kinshaw misses with a hook. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rain, as that shot connected.

Kinshaw is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Rain slips under a jab from Kinshaw. Black Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rain avoids the head kick by Kinshaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kinshaw plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rain swings for the body but Kinshaw moves out of range.

Rain pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kinshaw is out of range and Rain settles back down. Rain goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Nice shot lands for Kinshaw. A jab from Rain does it's job there. Kinshaw takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Rain smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Kinshaw throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Kinshaw is rocked! A punch combination from Kinshaw misses. Oh Kinshaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rain fails to land the takedown. Kinshaw seems to have got his legs back now. Karter Kinshaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Rain. Rain drops his hands momentarily and Kinshaw takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rain misses the jab. Rain throws a right and a left that Kinshaw avoids nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kinshaw throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Kinshaw swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rain. Kinshaw ducks under a wild hook from Rain. A little feinted left hand from Kinshaw on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Rain misses with an uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karter Kinshaw. I think Kinshaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
