Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sivolella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranca Tampa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ranca Tampa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Sivolella! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ranca Tampa! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sivolella tries for a takedown but Tampa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tampa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sivolella keeps Tampa at a distance using the push kick. Tampa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sivolella fails to land the takedown. Sivolella closes the distance and clinches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sivolella lands with a light punch inside. Sivolella turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sivolella manages to end up in side control. The referee asks Sivolella politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sivolella prefers to stall for the moment though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tampa can do anything to dispel that myth. Sivolella decides to take the fight back to the feet. Sivolella closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sivolella stands up. Sivolella is looking to clinch but Tampa is avoiding it.
Sivolella fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Sivolella. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sivolella tries to clinch but Tampa is having none of it. No joy there for Sivolella, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sivolella looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tampa!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sivolella controlling from mount. Sivolella landing strikes from the mount. Sivolella takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Sivolella looking to control but Tampa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sivolella is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sivolella throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Sivolella darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Tampa wants to get back to full guard. Tampa is holding on to half guard well. Tampa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sivolella. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sivolella seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Tampa is looking to improve his position.
Sivolella is taking a breather. Tampa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tampa wants to control but Sivolella is keeping busy.

Tampa is trying to work for a sweep but Sivolella has mounted him! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sivolella cracks Tampa with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sivolella tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Sivolella dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ranca Tampa's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tampa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sivolella is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tampa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tampa's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tampa tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Sivolella has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Tampa is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Victor Sivolella!
