Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mr Second! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Parker! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Second missing with a left hand there. Parker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Second bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Second fails to land with a series of punches.
Parker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Second throws a body shot but no joy. Parker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A left and a right from Second both land. Nice combination. Second takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mr Second seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker ducks under a wild hook from Second. Parker pushes Second up against the cage in a clinch. Parker lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Parker tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Second's elbow. Parker missing with knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Second blocking some punches.
Parker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Second gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Parker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Second regains guard immediately.
That's one minute gone in the round. Second is looking to stand up but Parker isn't so interested in that idea. Parker scoring with punches to the head and body. Parker stops Second from standing up. Parker landing with the ground and pound. Parker is looking to work some ground and pound but Second has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Parker postures up and lands a big shot to Second's brow.
Second is rocked! Second wants to stand up but Parker is controlling him. Oh Second is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Parker throwing strikes from guard but Second blocks nicely. Parker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Parker throwing strikes but missing. Second seems to have got his legs back now. Parker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Parker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Second's head. Parker gets to his feet and stands over Second, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Second felt that one! Parker unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Second from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corey Parker!
