Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Simms!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simms avoids the head kick by Workman.
Simms with a poor takedown
letting Workman counter with a right hand.
Simms tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Workman defends well and Simms ends up having to push Workman into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Workman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Simms can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Workman controls the pace.
Workman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Simms preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Workman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simms looking to hit a scissor sweep but Workman is one step ahead there.

Simms wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Workman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Workman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Workman showed some decent athleticism there.

Workman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Simms has his hands clasped together around Workman's back. He's all about the action.
Simms is not content to let Workman control the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Simms is on top in guard.

Simms has hold of Workman's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Workman seems comfortable defending it but Simms has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Workman is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Workman is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Simms couldn't care less - he's delighted!
