PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Ramos (ranked 1257 p4p, 144 weight class) and Christopher Lee (ranked 704 p4p, 80 weight class). Ramos comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Nomad. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henrique Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christopher Lee!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes one on the button.
Ramos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lee slips under a jab from Ramos.
Lee throws a looping overhand right but Ramos ducks down to avoid it.
Ramos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lee.
Ramos jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lee looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Lee ducks under a wild hook from Ramos.
A low kick from Ramos is predictable there
and Lee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramos.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ramos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ramos feinted with a counter takedown.
Ramos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A swing and a miss from Ramos.
Lee dodges the punch combination from Ramos.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lee! But no joy.
Ramos misses with a hook to the body
and Lee counters with a thumping low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee misses with a straight right.
Lee looks to throw the jab but Ramos is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee scores with a head kick. Ramos tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ramos.
Christopher Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramos throws a shot to the body.
A swing and a miss from Lee.
Lee stalks Ramos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ramos's face. Ramos staggers backwards, shaken.


Ramos is rocked!

Lee lands a big uppercut and Ramos crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ramos looks OK. Lee waves Ramos back to his feet!
Oh Ramos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramos switches off momentarily and Lee cracks him with a monster right hand! Ramos topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Lee dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Lee!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Christopher Lee!
Christopher Lee seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
