Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Greene (ranked 1364 p4p, 162 weight class) and Evan Page (ranked 1353 p4p, 160 weight class). Page has chosen Planning a Prison Break as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Page! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Greene shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Page defends it nicely. Greene misses with a takedown and Page connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Page tries to clinch but Greene moves out of range. Page's jab looks to have found its range, popping Greene under the eye. Page leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A little jabbing left from Page on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Page thuds his right hand into Greene's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Page keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Evan Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Page is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Greene looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Page fails to land with a series of punches.
Greene attempts a counter takedown but Page avoids it well and moves away. Greene takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Greene fails with a takedown attempt. Greene shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A decent looking cross lands there for Page. Page scores with a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Page scores with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Page lands a lovely overhand right. Page scores with a shot to the body.

A shot to the liver by Page. Beautiful body shot. A punch lands to the side of Greene 's head but he takes it in his stride. Greene takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Page lands with an overhand left.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Page thuds his right hand into Greene's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Page lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Greene circles away quickly and effectively. Good standup being displayed there by Page as he connects with a hook. Page catches Greene with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Greene gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Page. Greene misses with a takedown attempt enabling Page to counter with a crisp jab. Jab, jab by Page - just one landing. Greene on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Page lands with a hook. Greene tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Page throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Greene.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Page fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Page fails in his attempt to clinch. Greene changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Page keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Page scores with a sloppy right hand. Greene should have avoided that one. Greene fails with a takedown attempt. Greene shoots for a takedown but Page saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Page lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Page lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Danny Greene is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Page is looking to clinch. Page comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A punch lands to the side of Greene 's head but he takes it in his stride. Page has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Page staying out of range there. Greene walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Greene dives in and grabs Page's left leg, looking for a takedown. Page pushes down on Greene's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Page lands a nice looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Page feints a jab promting Greene to slip. Page then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Greene slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Page scores with a nice right hand.

A left and a right from Page both land. Nice combination. Evan Page seems to be getting the better of the standup. Page scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Greene. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Nice shot by Page. Page scores with a sloppy right hand. Greene should have avoided that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Page slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Nice cross by Page. Page tries to clinch up but Greene circles away and keeps his distance. Greene takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Greene might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Greene takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Page cracks Greene with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Greene looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Greene shoots in looking for a takedown but Page manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Greene's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him. Greene doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Page uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Greene takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Evan Page is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Greene fails with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Page ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Page throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Greene on the side of the head. Greene needs to keep his hands up - Page had a free shot at his head there. This has been an exciting period of action! Greene slips a jab and a cross from Page.

Greene has his takedown stuffed and Page counters with a nice uppercut. Page gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Greene wants to get back to striking at distance but Page won't allow it.

Page working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Page's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Greene shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Page counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Page lands a nice shot that snaps Greene's head back.

Page throws out a powerful jab. Page might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Greene walks into a left hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Page catches Greene with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Page bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Greene's head backwards. Greene takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Greene closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Page quickly recovers to half guard. Greene not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Page has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Greene is working away from the top position though. Page is refusing to be controlled, as Greene sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Page wants to improve his position but Greene is controlling well.
Greene looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Page with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Greene not landing any meaningful shots this time. Page wants to get back to his feet.
Greene missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Greene not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Danny Greene has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Evan Page is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Greene not landing any meaningful shots this time. Greene thows a huge punch but Page dodges it nicely.

Page is trying to get back to full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Page is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Greene is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that's the end of the fight! Evan Page comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Page winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Evan Page! A very excited looking Evan Page rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
