Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Greene (ranked 1364 p4p, 162 weight class) and Evan Page (ranked 1353 p4p, 160 weight class). Page has chosen Planning a Prison Break as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Page defends it nicely.
Greene misses with a takedown
and Page connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Page tries to clinch but Greene moves out of range.
Page's jab looks to have found its range, popping Greene under the eye.
Page leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Page on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Greene. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Greene might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Greene looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Greene looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Page with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A very excited looking Evan Page rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
