Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lei Kung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Laws! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laws tries to clinch up. Kung looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kung scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Laws fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kung, pushing him back against the cage. Laws tries to pull guard but Kung won't allow it.
Kung scores with a shot to the side of Laws's head. Laws throws a punch but it's blocked by Kung. Kung misses with some punches.
Kung definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kung blocks an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Laws.
Kung breaks the clinch.
Laws tries to clinch there but Kung circles away.

Kung displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kung closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Laws's guard. Laws wants to get back to his feet but Kung is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kung advances position into side control! Kung decides to stand back up. Kung steps back and let's Laws get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laws wants to clinch. Kung throws a combination. Laws tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The fight stays on the outside here - Laws looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Laws tries to clinch there but Kung circles away.
Kung clinches up with Laws and pushes him back against the cage. Laws lands a nice uppercut. Laws looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kung swings wildly with an uppercut but Laws uses good head movement to avoid it. Laws can't get the takedown.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kung trying to pass the guard but Laws defending well. Kung stops Laws from getting back to his feet.
Kung is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laws defends it well. Kung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Laws keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kung stops Laws from getting back to his feet.
Laws wants to control but Kung is keeping busy and won't allow it. Laws is in trouble now - Kung has advanced to mount! Laws tries to buck Kung off but he can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kung wants to finish this one by submission but Laws is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kung. Kung won't let Laws get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Kung is working for a guillotine from mount but Laws frees his head quite easily.
Kung working for a submission but Laws is keeping him at bay. Kung stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Laws looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lei Kung has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Laws. Kung slaps away a takedown attempt from Laws, before circling back to the center of the mat. Laws tries to close the distance and clinch but Kung swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kung closes the distance and pushes Laws back into the cage. Kung tries to work over Laws's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kung makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Laws lands with a short shot to the head. Laws gets underhooks to prevent Kung's takedown attempt.
Laws has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Kung seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Laws can turn it around. Laws misses with some punches.
A frustrated look appears on Kung's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kung is looking to take this one to the mat. A short left from Kung. This has been an exciting period of action! Laws is defending well against a takedown attempt. A short uppercut from Laws. Kung blocks an uppercut.

Laws fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kung, pushing him back against the cage. Laws is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Laws wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kung has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lei Kung dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Laws fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kung avoids it really well and circles away. Kung connects with a single shot there. Kung tries a head kick but it misses.
As Kung backs off Laws throws a huge counter combo but Kung manages to avoid it all. Laws tries to clinch but Kung moves out of range. Kung throws a head kick that misses. Kung circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Laws swings wildly with an uppercut but Kung uses good head movement to avoid it. Mark Laws seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Laws is working for takedown but Kung is calmly controlling the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laws lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kung jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Laws walks away with a smile on his face. Kung gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kung drives through and clinches with Laws against the cage.
Laws digs a right hand into Kung's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kung's gas tank. Laws misses with a punch on the inside.

Laws escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Laws looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Laws cracks Kung on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kung falls backwards against the cage. Laws follows up with more strikes that drop Kung to his knees. Laws keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kung! This one is all over!
