Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Randy The Butcher (ranked 6050 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutaali Pertsa (ranked 5914 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brutaali Pertsa!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Butcher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pertsa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The Butcher is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The Butcher wants to work for an arm triangle but Pertsa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The Butcher seems to be looking for submissions.
Pertsa is trying to maintain the position but The Butcher is very close to passing his half guard.

The Butcher trying to work for an americana but Pertsa has managed to regain full guard.

The Butcher drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pertsa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pertsa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pertsa!

The Butcher is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pertsa pulls his head out easily.

Pertsa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pertsa is pressing down on The Butcher's thigh, looking to free his foot. The Butcher is holding on for now.

The Butcher looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Pertsa pushes past his half guard into mount!
The Butcher wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
The Butcher is trying to break free.
Pertsa doesn't have the hooks in and The Butcher manages to turn into his guard.
The Butcher pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pertsa is keeping the position for now.
Pertsa trying to keep a closed guard but The Butcher is proving a slippery customer.

The Butcher is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pertsa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pertsa has escaped and now he's on top!

The Butcher had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pertsa defends it easily.

The Butcher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pertsa is aware though and is defending well.

The Butcher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pertsa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pertsa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pertsa got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Butcher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pertsa has managed to get both his arms back between The Butcher's legs - danger averted.

The Butcher looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy The Butcher will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The Butcher throws a predictable looking body shot
and Pertsa counters with a one-two to the body.
Pertsa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from The Butcher.
The Butcher fails to land the takedown.
Pertsa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but The Butcher circles away quickly and effectively.
Pertsa is trying hard to land a takedown here. The Butcher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
The Butcher throws a big shot that misses.

Pertsa pushes The Butcher up against the cage in a clinch.
Pertsa controlling the action here for a moment.
Pertsa can't get the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pertsa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables The Butcher to keep the fight standing.
Randy The Butcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutaali Pertsa.

Pertsa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The Butcher loads up on a big right hand but Pertsa slips the punch.
Pertsa moves in looking to clinch but The Butcher pushes him off.
Pertsa throws the left hand but The Butcher avoids the punch easily.
Pertsa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Butcher but The Butcher pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pertsa is breathing heavily.

The Butcher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pertsa was covering up waiting for the punch and The Butcher finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The Butcher has gone for a leg lock! Pertsa slips out almost immediately though and dives into The Butcher's guard.

Oh but The Butcher is tightening it up a little... Pertsa has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pertsa reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pertsa taps out! Nice BJJ there by The Butcher!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Randy The Butcher!
A very excited looking Randy The Butcher rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
