Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Splinter (ranked 2609 p4p, 274 weight class) and Jeff Romart (ranked 4404 p4p, 403 weight class). Splinter comes to the cage accompanied by Snäfä - Kaikest Huolimatta pt2 feat. Mc Rambo & Iivo. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Master Splinter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeff Romart! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romart just misses with a punch to the body.
Romart misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Splinter.
Splinter tries to close the distance and clinch but Romart swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Splinter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Romart throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Splinter counters with a single leg into guard. Romart didn't expect that. Splinter wants to control from the top but Romart keeps moving. Splinter tries to free his leg and advance position but Romart is retaining full guard. Splinter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Romart, up you get! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romart misses with a hook. Splinter ducked under it nicely. Romart displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Splinter. Romart misses with a jab, cross combination.
Romart lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Splinter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romart throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice jab there from Romart. Jeff Romart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Splinter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Romart is fending him off so far but Splinter persists. Nope, Romart circles away and we're back to standing. Romart throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Splinter counters with a head kick. That will keep Romart thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Splinter drives through with a takedown into guard. Romart wants to get back to his feet but Splinter is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Splinter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Romart swivels though and keeps the full guard. Splinter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Splinter with a flurry of punches that miss. Splinter stands and throws Romart's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Splinter tries to score with some ground and pound. Romart controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Splinter wants to control but Romart is keeping him busy. Splinter tries for a kimura but Romart is defending well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Splinter decides to take the fight back to the feet. Splinter dives in for a single leg takedown but Romart sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Master Splinter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Romart throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Romart pivots, looking for a leg kick but Splinter is out of range and Romart settles back down. Splinter dodges the punch combination from Romart.
Splinter is looking to counter punch. Jeff Romart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romart just misses with a punch to the body.
Romart throws a right hand that Splinter ducks under and follows up with a left that Splinter also avoids with ease. Splinter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romart. A punch combination from Romart misses. Splinter feinted with a counter takedown. We've been informed that Romart has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Romart scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Romart scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Splinter looking to score a takedown here. Romart is defending well but Splinter drives through and ends up in Romart's guard. Romart wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Splinter manages to pass to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Splinter prevents Romart from standing back up.
Splinter is trying for a kimura here. Romart looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Splinter wins by kimura!
