Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Bishop (ranked 716 p4p, 76 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 1202 p4p, 134 weight class). Bishop comes to the cage accompanied by Ghetts - Artillery. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Power! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop staying out of range there. A big left from Power misses. Bishop misses the body punch and Power counters with a low kick, right behind Bishop 's knee. Bishop looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Bishop wants to pass the guard but Power is defending well. Bishop is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Power doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bishop. Bishop tries to pass to full mount but Power defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Power is in trouble now - Bishop has advanced to mount! Poor strikes thrown by Bishop there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop looking to control but Power is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bishop lands a heavy elbow. Bishop controlling the pace for now. Bishop landing punches. Power tries to buck Bishop off but he can't manage it. Bishop lands a heavy elbow. Power keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Power tries to buck Bishop off but he can't manage it. Bishop punishing his opponent with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bishop looking to control but Power is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bishop has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Power's face.
Bishop trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bishop cracks Power with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bishop landing shots from mount. Bishop is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Power can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Power is desperately trying to improve his position but Bishop has a good base and remains in mount. Bishop landing strikes, looking to finish! Bishop with good strikes from the mount here! Bishop lands a big shot there that rocks Power but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Power is rocked! Bishop scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Power?
Power is still in real trouble! Can Bishop finish him? Power really wants to buck Bishop off and get back to his feet. Bishop lands a nice shot to the head. Bishop dominating with strikes here. This has been an exciting period of action! Power is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Bishop cracks Power with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackson Bishop! In his post fight interview, Jackson Bishop started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
