Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Borys Hund (ranked 2713 p4p, 285 weight class) and Tom McGettigan (ranked 3024 p4p, 303 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borys Hund! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom McGettigan! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hund shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McGettigan misses the shot to the body. McGettigan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. McGettigan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Hund is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McGettigan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Borys Hund. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hund gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hund wants to control from the top but McGettigan keeps moving. Hund drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McGettigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hund has McGettigan in his guard. McGettigan stopping the sweep attempt from Hund. Hund is looking for a triangle but McGettigan pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGettigan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. McGettigan postures up.
McGettigan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hund is trying to control the position but McGettigan postures up. McGettigan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hund has an active guard here but McGettigan has managed to pass into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hund is trying to maintain the position but McGettigan is very close to passing his half guard. McGettigan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hund. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McGettigan prevents Hund from improving his position. Hund regains full guard. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hund tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hund wants to control but McGettigan passes easily into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hund is looking for a sweep. McGettigan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hund throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGettigan in particular looking to stall. McGettigan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hund walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hund gets the takedown into side control. Hund tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hund has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hund wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGettigan keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hund with the ground and pound but McGettigan regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Hund is keen to just control but McGettigan is a slippery customer. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hund is pressing down on McGettigan's thigh, looking to free his foot. McGettigan is holding on for now. Hund is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hund gets a trip takedown into half guard. McGettigan manages to escape and get back to his feet! Borys Hund is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGettigan clinches with his opponent.

McGettigan scores with a shoulder strike. McGettigan is leaning against Hund and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. McGettigan scores with a nice hook to the head. McGettigan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGettigan lands a body punch. A short right from McGettigan on the inside. Hund has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McGettigan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hund is working for takedown but McGettigan is calmly controlling the position for now. McGettigan swings wildly with an uppercut but Hund uses good head movement to avoid it. Hund is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McGettigan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. McGettigan pushes Hund back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hund drops down looking for an ankle pick but McGettigan pulls his leg out and moves away.

McGettigan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. McGettigan pushes Hund up against the cage in a clinch. McGettigan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hund is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McGettigan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hund blocking some punches.
McGettigan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hund backwards. McGettigan working some nice short punches in the clinch. Hund drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McGettigan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGettigan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. McGettigan lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hund is rocked! With the fighters clinched against the cage, McGettigan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Oh Hund is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hund takes a shot to the head. McGettigan creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hund's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hund drops to his knees and McGettigan pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom McGettigan! Tom McGettigan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KOMBAT KLOTHING logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. Borys Hund spoke after the fight, saying 'I need a rope'.
