Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Aires (ranked 1079 p4p, 138 weight class) and Ronnie Rolla (ranked 719 p4p, 96 weight class). Rolla has chosen Hit 'Em Up as his entrance music. Bruno Aires has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronnie Rolla!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aires closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rolla quickly recovers to half guard.
Aires trying to control from half guard but Rolla is working away.
Aires missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Aires is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rolla looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rolla wants to improve his position but Aires is controlling well.
Rolla wants to get back to his feet.
Aires has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aires is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rolla is just riding it out for now. Aires eventually gives up the hold.

Rolla tries to kick Aires off but Aires keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Rolla swings for the body but Aires moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aires.

Bruno Aires seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aires swats away the attempt to clinch by Rolla.
Aires moves out of range as Rolla strikes.
Rolla scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Aires, right into the meat.

Rolla closes the distance and clinches.
Rolla fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rolla trying to control the position but instead, Aires has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rolla into the cage.

Aires escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aires is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rolla can do to turn this around?

Aires throws a leg kick
and Rolla connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rolla slips under a jab from Aires.
Rolla throws a body shot but no joy.
Aires feinted with a counter takedown.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Aires, as that shot connected.
Aires misses with a looping right.
Aires shoots in looking for a takedown. Rolla tries to sprawl out of it but Aires keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rolla manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rolla throws out a counter right but Aires avoids it with no problem.
Rolla uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aires.
Aires lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rolla circles away quickly and effectively.
Rolla wants to clinch up but Aires keeps it at a distance.
Rolla wants to land a leg kick but Aires is out of range.
Aires throws a low kick but Rolla moves out of range easily.
Rolla misses with a head kick.
Aires throws a shot from downtown. Rolla moves away and avoids it.

Rolla misses with a few strikes there.
Aires fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Aires. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aires fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rolla checks it well.
A little jabbing left from Rolla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Rolla thuds his right hand into Aires's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rolla throws a jab when Aires was well out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rolla lands with a cross.
Rolla lands with a hook. Aires tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ronnie Rolla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rolla connects with a leg kick. Aires looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Rolla moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rolla throws a nice outside leg kick.
Aires takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Good work by Aires as he checks the leg kick.
Rolla punishes Aires's body with a nice straight punch.
Ronnie Rolla seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Aires lands a lovely overhand right.
Aires swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rolla fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Aires lands a jab-cross combination.
Rolla moves out of range of the leg kick from Aires.
Aires slips under a jab from Rolla.
Aires scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rolla in his tracks.
A low kick from Aires is predictable there
and Rolla counters with a series of strikes. Aires will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rolla moves into range and connects with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rolla, as that shot connected.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big left from Aires misses.
Oh Aires is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aires throws a leg kick
and Rolla counters with a huge left! Aires is in big trouble! He's backing up but Rolla isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Aires from any more damage. A dominating finish by Rolla!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronnie Rolla!
