Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 564 p4p, 64 weight class) and Kay Ector (ranked 689 p4p, 79 weight class). Kent's entrance music is Save Me - Remy Zero (Smallville Theme). A fine choice. Ector has chosen Monster! as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 33 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kay Ector! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ector manages to avoid it. Kent shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Ector looks to throw the jab but Kent is out of range. Jab from Kent. Ector checks a low kick from Kent. Kent misses the shot to the body. Ector looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A bone on bone clash there as Ector blocks the leg kick.
Kay Ector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kent has managed to clinch.
Kent tries a body shot but Ector blocks it.
Kent gets through Ector's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Ector throws a head punch that misses. Kent misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ector blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ector breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ector sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kent jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ector bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kent pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ector swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kent moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent presses Ector against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Ector escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ector moves in looking to clinch but Kent pushes him off. Kent is looking for a counter combo. Ector throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kent sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ector uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kent. Ector takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ector wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ector doesn't manage to clinch there - Kent circles away.
Kent is looking to counter punch. The fighters circling - Ector throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ector takes a swing at Kent's ribcage but misses. Ector ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A jab from Kent misses. Kent avoids the body shot from Ector.
Kent throws a hook to the side of Ector's head but Ector sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kent throws a leg kick that misses. Ector jabs Kent right on the nose. Kent blinks but takes it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ector slips a straight right by Kent. Ector clinches with his opponent.
Ector tries to throw a body punch but Kent avoids it by throwing Ector back against the cage. Kent misses with a hook from the clinch. Kent lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ector backwards. A short left from Kent. Kent misses with a hook from the clinch. Ector scores with a shoulder strike. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kent. Ector lands a left hand.
Kent tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ector's elbow. Ector blocking some punches.
Ector's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crunch! Kent slams his shin into Ector's torso. Ector defending well as Kent loads up on a big left hand. Ector needs to keep his hands up - Kent had a free shot at his head there. A jab from Ector does it's job there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ector moves out of range of the strikes. Ector looks to throw the jab but Kent is out of range. Ector throws a right hand that Kent ducks under and follows up with a left that Kent also avoids with ease. Kent looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ector fails in his attempt to clinch. Ector thuds his right hand into Kent's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kent misses with a looping right. Ector drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jab by Kent. The fighters circling - Ector throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ector lands a jab to the nose. Ector closes the distance but Kent moves to the side and Kent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ector misses with a jab to the body
enabling Kent to counter with a crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ector drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Ector is rocked! Kent throws out a loose jab but Ector uses good head movement to avoid it. Ector is still on wobbly legs! Can Kent finish him? Ector tries to clinch but Kent moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent throws a hook but Ector blocks it. Ector seems to have recovered his senses. Kent is looking to clinch. Ector takes the fight into the clinch. Kent tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ector's elbow. Ector manages to break the clinch.
Kent throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kent takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kent!
Ector scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ector scores with a decent looking hook. Kent is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Ector doesn't manage to clinch there - Kent circles away.

and Kent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ector slips a straight right by Kent. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ector throws a shot from downtown. Kent moves away and avoids it. Kent moves out of range as Ector strikes. Ector is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Kent dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
BOOM! Kent lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ector. Ector tries to recover but Kent is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ector lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clark Kent! Clark Kent retains his lightweight title! A very excited looking Clark Kent rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
