Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse Pilkington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Brolly! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pilkington misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And Brolly tries to counter it with a takedown but Pilkington pushes his down on his head and steps out. Brolly tries to sprawl but Pilkington drives through with a takedown into half guard. Brolly looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pilkington is taking a breather. Brolly says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brolly is trying to stand up here but Pilkington is controlling him well. Pilkington wants to control but Brolly is keeping him busy. Pilkington working over Brolly with some ground and pound. Brolly looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pilkington trying to pass the guard but Brolly defending well. Brolly looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pilkington has a takedown stuffed. Brolly tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pilkington thows a leg kick but Brolly checks it and Brolly counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brolly. Pilkington manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Pilkington can't get the takedown.

Brolly lands a takedown into guard.
Pilkington has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Brolly off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pilkington wants to clinch but Brolly slips to the side and Brolly counters with a single leg into guard. Pilkington didn't expect that. Pilkington pushes Brolly off and gets back to his feet.

Pilkington no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Pilkington tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pilkington not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pilkington is breathing heavily. Brolly gets to his feet - Pilkington follows without any prompting. Brolly keeps the fight on the outside. Pilkington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brolly changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Pilkington tries to clinch up and Brolly counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pilkington manages to get back to half guard. Brolly wants to stand up but Pilkington has a hold of him and won't allow it. Pilkington is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brolly pulls his head out easily. Pilkington is looking to improve his position.

Brolly is trying to get back to his feet but Pilkington has full control of the position and if anything, Brolly has just worked his way into a worse spot. Pilkington is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Brolly manages to escape to his feet. Pilkington tries to clinch but Brolly moves away so Brolly counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pilkington looking for a sweep. Not yet Pilkington, not yet. Brolly avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Pilkington dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Brolly is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Pilkington throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brolly counters with a shoot takedown. Pilkington fights it but they end up in guard. Pilkington uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Pilkington tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Brolly counters with a nice double leg into guard. Pilkington is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brolly presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pilkington is looking to control Brolly's arms but Brolly gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pilkington has his back to the cage. Brolly turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Pilkington bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Pilkington fights it but they end up in guard. Pilkington is working an open guard so Brolly takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Pilkington with a poor takedown and Brolly counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pilkington won't be happy with that. Brolly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pilkington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brolly decides to take the fight back to the feet. Pilkington dives in for a single leg takedown but Brolly sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Pilkington with a lazy takedown attempt and Brolly counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pilkington! Brolly leaves Pilkington with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brolly tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Pilkington tries for a takedown but Brolly circles away easily and Brolly counters with a single leg into guard. Pilkington didn't expect that. Brolly gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Pilkington controls Brolly momentarily but Brolly frees himself. Brolly tries to stand but Pilkington is controlling from the bottom. Brolly slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Pilkington. Brolly prevents Pilkington from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pilkington is looking to control Brolly's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pilkington avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pilkington is looking to escape. Pilkington trying to control but Brolly postures up.
Shane Brolly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jesse Pilkington is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pilkington is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
