Charles comes into the arena with Renegades Of Funk/ Rage Against The Machine blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filch just misses with a punch to the body.
Charles seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Charles scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Charles checks a low kick from Filch.
Charles throws a right and a left that Filch avoids nicely.
Charles tries for a takedown but Filch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Charles has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Filch.

Charles tries to close the distance and clinch but Filch swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Charles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Filch looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Charles can't hide his disappointment, as Filch celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zilch Filch!
After winning the bout, Zilch Filch thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
