Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willy Boly (ranked 3280 p4p, 346 weight class) and Miles North (ranked 1361 p4p, 159 weight class). North has chosen Men at Work - Down Under as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Willy Boly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miles North!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. North manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boly fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miles North seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
North throws a wild body kick that Boly sees coming a mile off.
North looks to land a body kick but Boly moved away.
North throws a leg kick but Boly moved away.
North throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Some bone on bone action there as Boly checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Boly has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cheese Factory in the buildup to the fight.

Boly looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Boly drives through and clinches with North against the cage.

North decides to pull guard.
Boly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. North swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

North had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boly defends it easily.

North has his foot on Boly's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boly works his way back into a safe position though.

Boly got a little sloppy there for a moment and North has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boly has managed to get both his arms back between North's legs - danger averted.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boly thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boly wants to pass the guard but North is keeping the position.

Boly drops back looking for a leg! North is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and North manages to kick Boly off! Boly jumps back into North's guard.

Boly drops back, looking for a kneebar! North looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. North looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from North!

North thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
North landing a few strikes.
Boly is looking for a sweep.
Boly on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Boly takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Boly tries to bench press North off him but North keeps the position.
North working the head and body with strikes.
North grinds an elbow into Boly's temple.
My spies in Nuclear Physiques inform me that North has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

North lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Boly is rocked!
North scores with a couple of short elbows.
Oh Boly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
North cracks Boly with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! North immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Boly is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by North!
