Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Rutledge (ranked 23134 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Waddell (ranked 3654 p4p, 380 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Duncan Rutledge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Iain Waddell!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Waddell tries to clinch up.

Rutledge is looking to counter the offense by Waddell and move into the clinch.

Waddell fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rutledge.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Waddell holds on and takes a little breather.

Rutledge got a little sloppy there for a moment and Waddell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rutledge has managed to get both his arms back between Waddell's legs - danger averted.
