The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Souza throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chavez escapes and throws Souza's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Souza is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Souza manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chavez's best efforts.
Souza tries to get to full guard but Chavez has control of the leg.
Souza moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Souza working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Chavez has passed into half guard!

Souza makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Souza.
Souza has his feet on Chavez's thighs here. He's pushed Chavez off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Chavez screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
