Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Legato Effrairo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bu Laia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laia has chosen ""E Ala E" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laia takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Effrairo is looking to chop away at Laia's legs.
Laia tries to close the distance and clinch but Effrairo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laia moves in looking to clinch but Effrairo pushes him off.
A low kick from Laia misses
and Effrairo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Laia fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Effrairo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Laia finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Laia feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Effrairo's calf.
Laia avoids the body shot from Effrairo.
Laia tries to score with a low kick but Effrairo moves his leg out of the way.
A big left from Effrairo misses.
Laia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Laia tries to clinch up
and Effrairo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Effrairo loads up on a big right hand but Laia slips the punch.
Laia stuns Effrairo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Laia drops Effrairo with a right and a left! Laia comes rushing in but Effrairo regains his composure and manages to keep Laia in guard.
Laia wants to pass the guard but Effrairo is keeping the position.
Laia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laia wants to control from the top but Effrairo keeps moving.
Laia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Effrairo is looking to sweep but instead, Laia has passed into half guard.
Laia tries to stand and escape but Effrairo is controlling the position.
Laia passes to full mount!
Laia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Laia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Laia prevents Effrairo from getting the reversal.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Effrairo wants to hold on but Laia pushes him away.
Effrairo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Laia controlling the pace for now.

Effrairo blocks a head kick by Laia.
A telegraphed right hand from Effrairo misses the target.
Laia pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Effrairo swats away the attempt to clinch by Laia.
Effrairo throws a hook but Laia blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Effrairo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Laia as he jumps to the side.

and Laia scores with a counter punch that sends Effrairo to the canvas! Laia smells blood - he's punishing Effrairo with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Effrairo has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bu Laia! Bu Laia retains his lightweight title!
