Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Foreman (ranked 1068 p4p, 37 weight class) and Patrick Thompson (ranked 1374 p4p, 68 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Thompson misses.
Foreman takes a jab right on the kisser.
Foreman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Thompson.
Foreman is looking to counter punch.
Foreman throws a looping overhand right but Thompson ducks down to avoid it.
Thompson swings for the body but Foreman moves out of range.
Thompson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Thompson misses with a combination
and Foreman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Patrick Thompson has been cut.
Foreman 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thompson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Foreman scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Foreman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A counter left hand to the body from Foreman misses its target.

and Foreman counters with a crisp one two that drops Thompson! Foreman thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Thompson to his feet! Thompson is in big trouble!

Thompson throws a hook to the side of Foreman 's head but Foreman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Foreman finish him?
Thompson throws a right hand that misses
and Foreman counters with a crisp right hand that drops Thompson! Foreman lets Thompson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Thompson misses with a hook
and Foreman counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
