Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Todd Break (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Castle is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Todd Break!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Break scores with a jab to the head.
Break misses with a body shot.
Castle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Nice cross by Castle.
Break uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Castle.
Break keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castle.
Castle shoots in but no luck this time.
Castle avoids the head kick by Break.
Break fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castle manages to avoid it.
Castle swings for the body but Break moves out of range.
Break throws a right hand that Castle ducks under and follows up with a left that Castle also avoids with ease.
Break lunges at Castle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Castle's hand.
Castle throws a predictable looking body shot
and Break counters with a left and a right that stings Castle.
Break fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castle manages to avoid it.
Castle misses with a double jab.
Break misses with a hook to the body
and Castle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Castle throws a lazy right hand but Break sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Castle slips a straight right by Break.
Castle showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Break.

Castle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Break is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Castle asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Castle tries for a kimura but Break is defending well.

Castle advances to full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castle wants to finish this one by submission but Break is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Castle.
Break is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Castle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Castle cracks Break with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Castle with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Castle working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Break keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Castle is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Break has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Castle lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Castle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Castle dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Break looks to score with a jab to the body but Castle is just out of range.
Castle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Castle tries to bum rush Break with a series of wild strikes but Break uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Break moves away from the strike by Castle.
Break swinging wilding here.
Castle avoids a punch combination nicely.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Break misses with an uppercut.
Break throws a series of strikes that have Castle backpedaling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Castle counters with a series of strikes. Break will be more careful next time no doubt.
Castle throws a sloppy body shot
and Break counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Castle misses with a wild body shot.
Break misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Castle throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Break on the side of the head.
Break takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.


It looks like Todd Break has been cut.
Castle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Break.
Castle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Break swivels and escapes.
Break avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A slow jab from Castle misses its intended target.
Break takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Break steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Castle.

Castle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castle lands a couple of elbows.

Castle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Break is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Castle with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Castle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Castle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Break works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Castle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Castle with a flurry of punches that miss.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Castle misses with a body shot.
Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Break manages to avoid it.
Castle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Break takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Castle lands a jab.
Break misses with a hook. Castle ducked under it nicely.
Todd Break is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Break gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Castle throws a big right hand that misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Castle drops back looking for a leg! Break is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Break manages to kick Castle off! Castle jumps back into Break's guard.
Castle thows a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Castle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Frank Castle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Todd Break's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Break falls off balance throwing a combination
and Castle counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Break throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Break takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Castle looks to score with a jab to the body but Break is just out of range.
Break throws a series of punches but Castle moves out of range.
Break is looking to wear down Castle with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Castle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Break looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Break bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Break takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Break slips a jab from Castle.
Castle misses with a few strikes there.

Castle misses with a body punch
and Break counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Castle swings for the body but Break moves out of range.
Break defending well as Castle loads up on a big left hand.
Castle slips a jab and a cross from Break.
Break takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Castle.

Castle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Break knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Castle on the ground.
Castle wants to pass to mount but Break is defending the position.

Castle has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Frank Castle has got the better of the ground game so far.
Break is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Castle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Castle is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Break is forced to tap! Great finish!
