The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sharp counters with a left to the body.
Dennis misses with a takedown
and Sharp counters with a straight right hand.
Dennis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sharp circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kareem Dennis . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sharp lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dennis at a distance.

We've been told by Dennis 's head coaches at JAG Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Sharp scores with a punch to the head.

Sharp lands a right hook to the body.
Oh Dennis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kareem Dennis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sharp lands a big right hook! Dennis looks hurt but is still standing! Sharp lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Dennis falls down and Sharp dives in with a huge hammer fist! Dennis 's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Sharp runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
